Eight rooms. That small number explains most of what guests find at Vidi Boutique Hotel, a family sized property on a lane called Gang Taman Sari, just off the I Gusti Ngurah Rai bypass in the south of Bali, between the seafood beaches of Jimbaran and the resort enclave of Nusa Dua.
Rooms open onto terraces or balconies over a garden and a small outdoor pool, with a poolside bar, a spa salon, bicycles and a reception that never closes. Staff can arrange shuttles and rental cars, and parking is free. It is not a beachfront resort and does not pretend to be one. For travellers who want a calm base near the airport, Jimbaran Bay and the Bukit peninsula, at a fraction of Nusa Dua prices, it fills the role with personal attention.
